Objective:
Development of industrial and agricultural development in recent years has both increased the use of ecosystem capacity and revealed the limitation of natural resources. On the other hand, limited access to Promoting renewable energy technologies and practices have caused increasing pressure on the country’s environment. In addition to these natural, structural and technological barriers, the lack of attention to human actions and the poor recognition of the importance of social activists in cross-environment between the environment and society, the outcomes of improper and disproportionate use of the environment and ecosystem becomes most evident. Of course, the uncertainties in decision making and policy, along with climate change, has exacerbated this problem. Therefore, in the scientific map of the country, environment is one of the most important issues in the framework of applied knowledge development in the country. According to the fifth principle of the Constitution, environmental protection is considered as a public duty. For this reason, any kind of development that contributes to the pollution or destruction of the environment and therefor causes irreparable damage, has been forbidden. Therefore, Tabriz University, according to its mission as the largest scientific and research center of the northwest of the country, has established an interdisciplinary institution with the permission of the Ministry of Science called “Environmental Research Center” in order to implement a part of the general policies of the Islamic Republic of Iran.
